Bharti Pathak
Registered Early Childhood Educator
Welcome
Hello, my name is Bharti Pathak. I am currently studying Early Childhood Studies at UGH . Coming from a nursing background, I wasn’t too far into studies when I realized nursing isn’t for me. Deciding to leave two years of nursing school was a tough decision I had to make but I couldn’t do something which I couldn’t give my 100% to. After dropping my nephew off to day care one day, the environment caught my attention. I stood there observing the environment, the children, and the room and later that day I researched the role of Early Childhood Educators. It felt as though, I had finally found what I was born to do. I found a profession in which I knew I could give my 100%. I decided to become an educator of young children because I understand the importance of supporting young minds as they develop. I knew it was something I would enjoy and be really good at. I have the ability to understand a lot of material and explain it to others. I have always enjoyed interacting with young children moreover observing them, planning activities with them. The joy of this profession is watching the children learn while they play. Enhancing on their interests and inspiring them. I am very patient and love the excitement of incorporating all types of sources in children’s learning, for example; books, music, art, sensory materials, cause-and-effect toys, gross motor toys and most of all bringing different experiences and cultures in to one big room.
My interests in being creative, in arts and crafts with young children lead me to make this important decision of pursing my studies at UGH My passion for this field has helped me get a part-time job at the HCDC as a ratio staff/supply. This is only the beginning which has encouraged me to do more and go further in my studies. My interests in outdoor play and nature has become a central idea of my teaching style. It’s important to include nature in children's learning so they too can appreciate and be able to enjoy nature and limit the world full of technology. I have seen the importance of outdoor play in children’s development therefore will include it in my program planning. Thank you for visiting my page. Please enjoy browsing.
