We quickly realized that we couldn’t begin this presentation right of way. We needed to collect detailed notes made on the project to have a detailed PowerPoint. This task taught me a lesson of a life time. Always document each and every change that you are making to an important project. For various reasons; proof of work, to rationalize your work and to simply keep a track of your progress. It’s not that I hadn’t documented everything; I missed out on documenting things as I was working on the project. Never to do that again. I could see I had a lot of work to do before I can begin working on the presentation. It definitely taught me a lesson I will be able to remember for the time I am working on an administrative level. At this time, I am only working on one project, but in the real world it won’t be like that. I will have multiple projects lined up, one after another. Not just that, I’ll have students to meet, meetings to attend, professional development courses to take, I won’t be able to make silly mistakes like this one. At the same time, I was able to make a silly mistake here and learn from that. I guess you can say, I made the most use of this work place experience through field placement.
