What I learned and experienced today will stick with me through every important presentation I do in the future. Today was a big deal; the presentation day. This day was as important to me as college graduation. I was nervous and excited at the same. We had everything ready, from print outs to setting up tables. Even then, we were nervous of how would it turn out. I was most scared about the questions the audience might have. Not that I wouldn’t have answers to them, but maybe I wouldn’t be able to come up with the answers on spot due to nervousness. As I mentioned earlier, I am not a public speaker. I was aware of all the changes and additions I made to the manual on the back of my mind, yet I was nervous. Always show up early for presentation extra early; it helps your confidence level. That’s one thing I learned today. My partner and I showed up very early. We set up the tables, arranged the seating, had all the papers ready, had the PowerPoint up and ready to go. We felt confident and looked presentable. Though I was nervous when presenting, I tried to remain calm and do my best. I tried to answer questions at the best of my ability. It went well, a lot better than expected. We received good feedback. At end of the day, it was a really good experience.
